Job Overview

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Specialty: Blood Bank
Shift: Nights
Hours: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
Contract length: 26 weeks

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology/Medical (Clinical) Laboratory Science, or a bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science
High Complexity Testing Personnel license or Trainee License issued by the West Virginia Department of Health
Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) via ASCP verification, or Certified Medical Technologist (MT) via AMT verification

Work Setting and Duties

Blood bank only
No generalist duties
No phlebotomy
No direct patient contact

Experience and Skills

Experience with Epic Beaker, Sunquest, and NEO Iris instruments is preferred

Schedule Requirements

Weekends required
Holidays required
No call or standby call
Four weeks of day-shift training before independent night-shift work

Dress Code

Scrubs or business casual allowed
No open-toed shoes

Orientation

Safety, compliance, policies, procedures, and training checklist review before independent work
