Facility & Unit Overview
- 49-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation facility
- Patient population: Adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation with high acuity needs
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 7 patients
- Unit functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit with high acuity
- Equipment includes mobility aids (ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, slide boards), vital sign machines, EKG, blood glucose monitors, and computers for charting
- Electronic Health Record system: EPIC
Position Details
- Specialty: Inpatient Rehabilitation Nursing
- Shift: 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekend and holiday rotations every other weekend
- Call requirements: Yes
- Float requirements: Currently no, but may be required to float to a nearby satellite inpatient rehab facility within 20 minutes in the future
- Breaks: Two paid 15-minute breaks and one mandatory 30-minute unpaid break per 12-hour shift
- Attendance and tardy policies strictly enforced
- Staff must clock out for breaks and cannot stay past shift end without supervisor approval
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a rehabilitation setting, with rehabilitation experience within the last year
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
