Registered Nurse - Cardiology (Travel)

Location

• Lewiston, Maine
• 37-bed unit specializing in Cardiology and Pulmonary care
• Trauma Level III facility
• Patient population includes post-op cath patients and those with cardiac conditions such as stroke, CHF, A-fib, arrhythmias, and cardiac caths/stents

Job Details

• Travel assignment, approximately 13 weeks in length
• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3 twelve-hour shifts per week)
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Float required to all units except M3; assist in ER as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU), with at least some experience within the last year
• Cardiology experience including telemetry and post-op cath care
• Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Skills in telemetry, cardiac drips with titration, dysrhythmia management and interpretation

Unit & Equipment

• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
• Equipment includes Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, ceiling and portable Hoyer lifts, portable cardiac monitors, defibrillators (x2 for transport), and EKG machines
• Electronic Health Records: Omnicell, EPIC

• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
