RN Charge/Supervisor - Nursing Administration

Job Summary

• Manage day-to-day and long-term planning of patient care areas.
• Direct, develop, and evaluate nursing staff including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Develop and enforce nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care in compliance with state nursing board and nurse practice act.
• Monitor nursing operational and financial standards, including budgeting and productivity.
• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Promote patient independence through education and counseling on disease management, medications, and self-care.
• Maintain safe, clean, and compliant work environment, including infection control and medication administration protocols.
• Oversee maintenance and inventory of nursing supplies and medical equipment.
• Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education and professional networking.
• Foster cooperative relationships within healthcare teams and participate in problem-solving.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including ICU experience within the last year
• Experience in supervisory roles, including House Supervisor experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
