Contract Length: 13 weeks

Level 1 Trauma Center with 22 beds
Surgical Services (Operating Room)
Patient population includes all ages
Patient ratio: 1:1
Electronic Health Record system: EPIC

Position Details

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in Surgical Services
Shift: Varied day shifts including 9-5, 11-7, 1-9, 3-11, and weekend daylight shifts
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36-40
Weekend hours: Every other weekend or as needed
Call requirements: Yes, 1-2 times per week with 8-hour call increments
Float requirements: As needed

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Crisis Prevention Intervention / Health Worker Certification (CPI/HWC)
Trauma experience
Must complete all required Pennsylvania clearances prior to start, including:
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- Department of Human Services Fingerprinting
- FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting (within last 2 years or new)
- PA State Police Clearance (PATCH)
Candidates must be willing to accept on-call and off shifts as described
Dress code: Blue scrubs provided; no casual wear allowed

Preferred Experience & Skills

Charge nurse experience for RNs
Experience in Level 1 trauma care
Robotic surgery experience
Familiarity with orthopedic, gynecological, obstetrical, plastic, general, cardiovascular, neurological, urological, breast, and podiatry surgical cases

Additional Notes

Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
Travel candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify
