Job Description

• Demonstrate critical thinking, judgment, and leadership in laboratory technology practice.
• Responsible for efficient planning, directing, and accurate provision of all laboratory testing in assigned licensure area.
• Practice according to laboratory policies, procedures, regulatory standards, recognized testing techniques, and administrative policies.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5 years recent experience as a Medical Technologist.
• Certifications:

  • ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist (must be provided).
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be provided).
• Technical Skills:

  • Experience in blood bank, MTS gel & tube methods.
  • Experience with Beckman Coulter hematology analyzers (520 and 690).
  • Manual differential, body fluid cell count and differential procedures.
  • Experience with Werfen Top coagulation instrumentation.
  • Urine microscopic procedures.
• Shift: Wednesday through Tuesday, 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM, 7 days on, 7 days off.
