Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

- Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information
- Unit: ICU / CCU
- Number of Beds: 14
- Staffing: 8 RNs per shift (1 Charge RN + 7 staff RNs) on both day and night shifts
- Patient Ratios: 2:1 or 1:1
- Equipment: Alaris IV pumps
- EMR System: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Licenses: Alaska RN License required
- Certifications:
- RN License
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Experience:
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Ability to independently manage intubated patients and titrate pressors
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience recovering open heart surgery patients within 12 hours post-op
Typical Procedures Performed
- Intubation
- Arterial line insertion
- Chest tube insertion
- Central line insertion
Additional Information
- Floating: Travelers may float to other departments if ICU is overstaffed, including MOU, CVSU, Ortho, Rehab, or SPCU
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
- Schedule: Monday through Friday assignment, no weekends or on-call required
