• Staffing:

  • Dayshift: Unit secretary and 2-3 PCTs depending on census.

• Equipment: Welch Allyn dynamaps, Phillips telemetry, Alaris pumps, Hill-Rom beds, iMobile devices, MobiLab.
• Documentation System: Meditech.
• Scheduling:

  • 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
  • Self-scheduling available.
  • Schedule finalized 2 weeks in advance.
  • Block scheduling for night shift can be accommodated.
• Floating Policy: Travel RNs float first, with rotation based on float date.

Patient Care

• Patient Population: Heavy cardiac patient population, including CV surgery patients post-ICU.
• Care Requirements:

  • Q6H head-to-toe assessments.
  • Management of various medications and titration of Precedex.
• Advanced Skills Required:

  • IV insertion, chest tube management, tracheostomy experience, CVC management, EKG, Foley management, early patient mobility.

Certifications Required

• BLS and ACLS.

Dress Code

• Navy scrubs.
