Job Description
- Provide nursing care to ICU boarders located in the PACU unit.
- Patient population primarily consists of trauma overflow; prior trauma training is not required.
- May float to Emergency Department for ICU holds or to other ICU/Stepdown units based on census and need.
- Unit operates Monday 7 AM to Saturday 7 PM; no Sunday shifts.
- Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under physician direction.
- Collaborate with patients, families, healthcare team members to individualize care.
- Direct nursing support staff according to nursing standards and policies.
- Additional specialty education, training, or certifications may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
