Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography

Location

Warren, Michigan

Contract

15 weeks

Schedule

12-hour shifts
Days and midnights
Every other weekend

Required Qualifications

CT Technologist experience within the last year
1 year of CT Technologist experience
BLS
ARRT
ARRT (CT)
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Intravenous contrast media administration

Job Responsibilities

Perform CT and some general diagnostic radiology examinations
Prepare patients and explain procedures
Review clinical data and patient history to select the appropriate exam
Set up equipment and perform CT scans
Administer IV contrast media and monitor for reactions
Assist with sterile procedures and biopsies
Follow radiation protection and ALARA principles
Complete image management in PACS and study indexing in RIS
Document in the medical record and radiology information system

Working Conditions

May work in a hospital or ambulatory mobile unit
May be exposed to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients
May occasionally lift or move equipment or patients over 10 lbs
