Description
Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography
Location
- Warren, Michigan
Contract
- 15 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Days and midnights
- Every other weekend
Required Qualifications
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of CT Technologist experience
- BLS
- ARRT
- ARRT (CT)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Intravenous contrast media administration
Job Responsibilities
- Perform CT and some general diagnostic radiology examinations
- Prepare patients and explain procedures
- Review clinical data and patient history to select the appropriate exam
- Set up equipment and perform CT scans
- Administer IV contrast media and monitor for reactions
- Assist with sterile procedures and biopsies
- Follow radiation protection and ALARA principles
- Complete image management in PACS and study indexing in RIS
- Document in the medical record and radiology information system
Working Conditions
- May work in a hospital or ambulatory mobile unit
- May be exposed to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients
- May occasionally lift or move equipment or patients over 10 lbs
