Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous nursing experience
• Recent acute care experience
• BSN

Job Summary

• Provides direct patient care on the unit, including nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, admission/transfer/discharge activities, patient and family education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning
• Performs comprehensive assessments, documents care, delegates appropriately, and monitors delegated care
• Participates in discharge planning, unit-based activities, and quality improvement efforts
• Uses evidence-based practice, current research, and a holistic approach to patient care
