Perform all nursing responsibilities specific to the Critical Care Unit.
Implement procedures and theories related to critical care nursing.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate plans of care based on patient and family needs.
Implement and modify plans of care through continuous evaluation.
Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Provide constructive feedback to peers and engage in professional development.
Conduct meaningful hourly rounding, bedside reporting, and use whiteboards to enhance communication.
Work with ventilated patients to promote early mobility.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
Respond to life-saving situations following nursing standards and protocols.
Monitor and adjust specialized equipment such as cardiac monitors, respirators, ventilators, and oxygen pumps.

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience, including at least 3 years in Critical Care Unit (CCU) - Coronary Care
CCU - Coronary Care experience within the last year
Level 1 Trauma experience
Experience with trauma patients
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
