Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Laboratory Scientist (Evening Shift) - Contract

Job Description

• Strong blood bank experience required.
• Collect, process, and receive specimens (blood, urine, fecal, body fluid) for analysis across all clinical laboratory departments.
• Evaluate and resolve issues related to specimen collection and processing for all age groups.
• Participate in evaluating new laboratory techniques and procedures considering personnel, equipment, cost, and reference intervals.
• Write and revise technical procedures.
• Perform complex laboratory procedures, recognize deviations from expected results, and troubleshoot using scientific principles.
• Analyze quality control data, make judgments on results, and take actions to maintain accuracy and precision.
• Respond to inquiries about test results, methodologies, test specificity and sensitivity, and factors influencing results.
• Monitor instrument indicators and temperature controls for laboratory departments.
• Maintain self-competency in laboratory skills.

Required Qualifications

• Medical Laboratory Technician with at least 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year.
• Certification as CLS or ASCP.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Associate's degree for grandfathered personnel.
