Job Description

• Provide professional oncology nursing care in an outpatient chemotherapy infusion setting.
• Work as part of the cancer care team in the infusion area.
• Deliver care adhering to cancer care policies, nursing procedures, quality improvement, safety, and infection control standards.
• Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patient health history
  • Managing physician orders and in-office procedures
  • Educating patients and families
  • Administering chemotherapy
  • Managing cancer symptoms
  • Monitoring patients’ physical and emotional well-being through frequent visits
  • Acting as primary communication conduit between patients and physicians
  • Providing direct nursing care including triage of patient care needs
  • Applying clinical knowledge, judgment, and decision-making skills to patient care issues

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana
• Minimum 2 years of Hematology/Oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
