Physical Therapist Job Overview

Location: Lufkin, Texas
Shift: Days
Hours per week: 40
Contract length: 10 weeks

Required Qualifications

Physical Therapy license
BLS certification

Clinical Setting

Primarily acute care
May also cover inpatient rehab
May occasionally cover mid-level critical care, med-surgical, and ortho floors

Schedule

Main schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Weekend coverage may be included depending on assignment location and scheduling needs
Hours may be scheduled between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM
4x10 or 5x8 scheduling may be possible

Assignment Expectations

Expected to work efficiently with minimal onboarding
Should be willing to treat in an inpatient rehab unit inside the hospital
Typical productivity expectation is 4 patients in 8 hours
Documentation is expected to be completed within 8 hours
Unit productivity expectation is 22 units per 8-hour day

Team Environment

Will work as part of a 6-person PT team
SLP and OT are also staffed on site
