Registered Nurse (Home Health RN) - Travel Assignment

• Red Bluff, California

Job Type

• Travel assignment
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts (40 hours/week)
• Flexible weekend scheduling: either Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday (preference for Tuesday-Saturday)
• Holiday coverage needed (Thanksgiving and/or Christmas)
• No call or standby requirement

Patient Population & Workload

• No pediatric patients
• Patients recently discharged from hospital, high risk for rehospitalization
• Common diagnoses: CHF, COPD, wounds (including some wound vacs), IV-PICC lines
• Approximately 5 patient visits per day, including start of care, recertifications, resumption of care, and routine visits

Job Duties

• Patient education related to respiratory therapy equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP)
• Utilization review involvement not specified
• Floating only within Home Health
• Home health aide support available

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Home Health RN experience
• BLS certification
• Valid driver’s license and insurance
• Experience with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) preferred

Dress Code

• Any work-appropriate scrubs

Supervision

• Manager available during working hours and after hours for urgent needs
• Administrator on call after hours and weekends
