Description
Registered Nurse (Home Health RN) - Travel Assignment
Location
- Red Bluff, California
Job Type
- Travel assignment
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts (40 hours/week)
- Flexible weekend scheduling: either Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday (preference for Tuesday-Saturday)
- Holiday coverage needed (Thanksgiving and/or Christmas)
- No call or standby requirement
Patient Population & Workload
- No pediatric patients
- Patients recently discharged from hospital, high risk for rehospitalization
- Common diagnoses: CHF, COPD, wounds (including some wound vacs), IV-PICC lines
- Approximately 5 patient visits per day, including start of care, recertifications, resumption of care, and routine visits
Job Duties
- Patient education related to respiratory therapy equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP)
- Utilization review involvement not specified
- Floating only within Home Health
- Home health aide support available
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Home Health RN experience
- BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license and insurance
- Experience with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) preferred
Dress Code
- Any work-appropriate scrubs
Supervision
- Manager available during working hours and after hours for urgent needs
- Administrator on call after hours and weekends
