Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Assignment

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call Requirement: None

Unit & Patient Population

Med-Surg/Telemetry unit with 37 beds
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5 patients
High patient turnover, primarily surgical population
Common diagnoses: diabetes mellitus, pneumonia, trauma, general surgery, bariatrics, plastics, urology
Equipment includes specialty bariatric beds, wound vacs, prevena vacs, Baxter IV pumps
Electronic Health Records: Omnicell, EPIC

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with surgical nursing and bariatrics preferred
Familiarity with ultrasound IV team support available during day shift

Additional Information

Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
No call responsibilities
Located in a city with access to outdoor recreational activities and cultural amenities
