Registered Nurse (Emergency Department) - Travel Assignment

Location: Rumford, Maine
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7pm - 7am)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend required
Call Requirements: None

Facility & Unit Overview

• Critical access hospital with 25 beds
• Level 3 Trauma Center
• Emergency Department staffed by only two RNs, requiring a high skill level
• Patient population includes all ages and a wide range of illnesses and injuries
• Only hospital within 40 miles of a trauma center, caring for all sick and injured in the area
• Patient ratio approximately 1:2.5
• Electronic Health Records systems used: Omnicell, Epic, SBAR
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Required certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

• No float requirements
• No prior travel experience explicitly required
• No call required during this assignment
• Strongly preferred ASAP start date
