• Unit: Orthopedic (3NW)
• Classification: RN - Ortho
• Shift Details:

  • 7A - 7:30P / 7P - 7:30A
  • Rotating weekends and 2 major holidays
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Call Requirements: No

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses are not accepted)
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience
• Minimal wound care experience

Preferred Skills

• Orthopedic experience
• Experience with Meditech documentation system

Unit Specifics

• Procedures Performed:

  • Total Knee/Hip Replacement
  • Incision and Drainage (I&D)
  • Pre- and post-operative procedures
• Floating Policy: As needed

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket
• Nail Policy: Clean and healthy
• Hair: Neat and clean, no extreme styles or colors
• Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible
• Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited

• All travelers are required to float as per the Methodist Floating Policy.
• Attendance policies and unit guidelines will be provided upon hiring.
