Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Travel Position
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday (4x10’s possible if needed)
Call Requirements: Variable call shifts (1-2 per week), including 1 weekend call
Unit Information
- Number of Cath Labs: 2
- Number of Staff: 7 (Day shift: 3 RNs, 3 Cath Lab Techs, 1 Charge Nurse Coordinator)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Equipment: Philips Xper FD20 and FD10, Shockwave, Penumbra, IABP pump, Impella, PFO Closure, EKOS
- EMR Systems: PAC’s Merge and Meditech
- Permanent positions available on unit
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in Cath Lab with ability to conduct interventional assistance
- Certification: RCIS, RCES, or RT license required
- ACLS and BLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as IR tech or EP tech
Typical Procedures
- Left and Right Heart Catheterization (LHC/RHC)
- Use of Cardiomems, Shockwave, Penumbra devices
- IABP pump, Impella, PFO Closure, EKOS procedures
