Unit: Pre-Op Holding / Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU)
Beds: 9 Pre-Op beds, 5 Phase 2 recovery beds
Staff: 8 full-time RNs (2 open positions), 2 part-time RNs, 4 PRN RNs, 1 unit HUC
Shift Coverage: Day shift only (5 AM - 5 PM), no night shift
Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 3 patients
Equipment: Pyxis medication system, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, bladder scanner
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Phase 2 recovery for Urology, Gynecology, and other same-day surgery (SDS) patients
Pre-Op care for Surgery, Endoscopy, Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP), CT patients
Outpatient infusions, outpatient EKGs, nerve blocks, blood transfusions

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
Minimum 2 years of preoperative nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

30-minute response time required for on-call from facility location
