- Located in central Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, largest community in the region
- Patient population includes all ages over 28 days
Position Details
- Department: Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics (7th Floor)
- Number of Openings: 3
- Shift: Night (NOC)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: 3 weekends every 6 weeks
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: Yes, to inpatient units
- Patient Ratios: 1:6
- Number of Beds on Unit: 24
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Trauma and post-operative ortho/neuro, general pediatric care (0-3 pediatric rooms on average)
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Paragon (transitioning to Cerner soon)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with adult patients
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Additional Information
- Teamwork and collaboration are important personality traits for this role
- Dress Code: Galaxy Blue scrubs; must adhere to facility dress code and appearance policy
- No call requirements
- Float to other inpatient units as needed

- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel rate consideration
- This is a travel nursing position with a 13-week contract length
