Unit and Facility Overview

• Department: Progressive Care
• Unit: 4th Floor
• Number of Beds: 22
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Patient Population: Adult cardiac patients including cardiac observation, post cardiac cath lab patients, and cardioversions
• Equipment: Telemetry
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Paragon
• Shift: PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Yes

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU), including experience within the last year
• Stepdown experience
• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
