Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) (Nights)

Location: Marshall, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional nursing care focused on patient comfort and well-being.
• Utilize critical thinking and independent judgment throughout all phases of the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and supervise the nursing patient care team, including Certified Nursing Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, and other technicians.
• Collaborate with the nursing team and other disciplines to deliver patient care.
• Complete timely documentation of patient care, condition, reactions, responses to treatment, and track patient progress.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Experience in charge nurse roles.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR).
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.

Additional Information

• Emergency Department has 11 beds.
• Night shift position.
