Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry (Nights)

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care using the nursing process and works collaboratively with the healthcare team to maintain professional nursing standards. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning and implementing nursing care, making appropriate interventions, evaluating patient responses, and ensuring quality patient care and satisfaction.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assess physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients
• Plan and implement nursing care based on patient and family needs
• Make appropriate nursing interventions
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions
• Take personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development
• Float to telemetry units including CSU, 3 South, 4 South, and Med Surg units (3 West, 4 West, and IPR)

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Michigan
• 3+ years of telemetry nursing experience
• Completion of at least 1 prior travel nursing assignment (prior travel experience required)
• Skills checklist completed within the last year for RN specialties
• Ability to comply with a strict attendance policy (3 strikes for absences or tardiness leading to immediate termination, with exceptions for documented illness or hospitalization)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Paragon EMR system
• ACLS certification

Additional Information

• Matching scrubs required as dress code
• Full-time employees of the health system are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment
• Strict attendance policy effective 2/28/2024: 3 absences or late arrivals (over 20 minutes) result in immediate termination unless supported by valid documentation
• Floating to multiple telemetry and medical-surgical units is expected
