Job Opportunity: PACU Registered Nurse
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Position in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) with day shift hours from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday (no weekends, no call).
- Patient population primarily oncology patients with acuity ranging from outpatient to ICU level care.
- Specialty surgeries include flap reconstruction (ENT, breast, and others), thoracic, and neurosurgery.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
