Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 18:45 - 7:15)

Job Description
- Work in a high acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) with patient diagnoses including COVID care and pronation therapy.
- Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and vasopressor titrations required.
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team during events, requiring staying onsite until the event passes or serving as relief staff.
- Float requirement within the facility.
- Epic electronic health record experience is required/preferred.
- No block scheduling requests allowed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).
- Experience with pronation therapy.
- Experience with vasopressor titration.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification preferred but not required.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred but not required.
Additional Information
- Candidates must be comfortable with emergency event assignments as directed by unit management.
- Skills checklist and employment application required, including 7 years of employment history and explanation of gaps.
- Photo for badge: recent, full-color, passport-style photo required within 24 hours of booking.
- CLEAR identity verification required for system access and password resets (smartphone needed).
- Competency exam specific to specialty required annually (minimum 80% score).
- Color blindness testing required for lab staff (not applicable here).
- No block scheduling requests accepted.
This position is ideal for experienced MICU RNs comfortable with high acuity care, emergency response duties, and working night shifts in a fast-paced critical care environment.
