Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Shiloh, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RNFA)
• Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts (06:45 AM – 05:15 PM)
• Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Start Date: ASAP after privileging process (estimated 2-3 months)
• Patient Census: Average daily census of 15 patients
• Rooms/Beds: 4 rooms, 4 beds
• Staffing Ratio: 1:1
• Patient Diagnoses: General surgery, gynecology, ENT (pediatrics only healthy patients), plastics, urology, orthopedic sports medicine, ortho hand, podiatry, bronchoscopy
• Special Equipment: DaVinci XI robotic system mainly for general and gynecological procedures, occasionally urology
• Weekend Requirement: Every 6th weekend call (Friday 5:15 PM through Monday 6:45 AM)
• On-Call Requirement: One weekday night per week plus every 6th weekend
• Floating: Floating within service line and to nearby facilities as needed
• Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
• Local Candidates: Not accepted within 75 miles radius
• Return to Office Restrictions: No more than 7 days

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 2 years of First Assist experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• CNOR certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Operating Room (OR) experience

• First-time travel nurses accepted
• Floating may include support at two nearby hospital locations within the service line
