Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 48 hours
Unit: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
Patient Ratio: 1:5

Job Description
- Provide nursing care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit.
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, totaling 6 weekend shifts during the assignment.
- Skills required include:
- Telemetry and cardiac telemetry monitoring
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Feeding tube care and management
- IV therapy including PICC line and peripheral line management, and IV starts
- Charge nurse experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in District of Columbia
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
