Overview

• Location: Salem, Oregon
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• Hours per week: 36
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Unit: Surgical Neurotrauma care unit, 30 beds, on the fourth floor of Building A

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oregon
• Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with Cardiac patients
• Experience with cardiac or critical care drips
• Non-invasive airway management
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Neurotrauma stepdown experience
• NIHHS certification
• Experience as a traveler

Clinical Details

• Patient ratio: 1:4
• The clinician may float within scope, including to West Valley Hospital
• Open to locals
• Pending license accepted
• RTO over 2 weeks requires approval
• First-timers not accepted
• Block scheduling not accommodated

Additional Notes

• The role is in a surgical neuro trauma care unit that is a brand new unit and was opened in July 2022
• The unit plans to become a Surgical Neuro Trauma ICU/IMCU unit within the next few years
