Histology Tech

• Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, day shift, 5 x 8-hour days (11:30 to 20:00), 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• ASCP (HT) or ASCP (HTL) certification
• Valid Florida Histology Technologist license
• Histology Technologist experience of at least 1 year, with experience obtained within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association. Provider card or RQI is acceptable. Instructor card is not accepted.

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physician statement physical exam within the last 12 months, not required annually
• Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year of start, updated annually. Past positive TB requires a chest X-ray within 5 years and an annual TB questionnaire.
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity (vaccines, positive titer, or documented history as applicable)
• COVID-19: 2 doses of Pfizer or Moderna, or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson. Declination is not allowed. Boosters are not currently required.
• Seasonal flu vaccine required (October 31 to March 31). Declinations are not accepted. Medical or religious exemptions are allowed.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start. Florida medical marijuana cards are not accepted.

Background, Compliance, and Onboarding

• 7-year criminal background check within a year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated with each contract renewal or extension
• Proof of I-9 or attestation and E-Verify or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID, which must be carried during all hours of service
• Facility onboarding modules must be completed before start and typically take multiple days
