Registered Nurse (Case Manager/RN) - Travel/Contract

Location: West Hollywood, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of inpatient case management experience
  • Active California RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
  • Knowledge of HMO and Medicare in inpatient, home health, and SNF settings
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Floating within scope of practice may be required to meet facility needs
  • Local candidates accepted
  • No return-to-office restrictions in the first 2 weeks

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
  • CHEMO (Chemotherapy certification)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
  • State License Verification
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (if applicable)
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required)
  • Competency Exam (required)

Background & Health Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID required
  • I-9 verification required
  • 7-panel criminal background check within 6 months of start, updated annually
  • Education verification and proof of highest medical degree (diploma or transcript)
  • Drug screening panel within 1 year of start (excluding Marijuana/THC)
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
    • Annual TB questionnaire if history of positive TB
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines
    • Hepatitis B vaccine series, titer, or declination
    • Varicella: positive titer, proof of 2 vaccines, or history of chickenpox
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30), with strict exemption policies

Facility & Orientation Notes

  • Charting system: Epic
  • Free or validated parking available
  • Photo for badge required (must meet strict photo guidelines)
  • Pass/fail EKG assessment during orientation for certain RN units
  • Medication test during orientation (not pass/fail)
  • Fire card required only if worked at facility for 6 months; onsite course provided during orientation
  • Various facility-specific documents and attestations must be reviewed and signed prior to start
  • Two professional references required, including one supervisory reference

Additional Information

  • Floating within scope may be required
  • No weekend or on-call shifts required
  • No return-to-office restrictions during first 2 weeks
