Experience & Certification Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 1 year in specialty
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for RRT
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for RRT
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – Required for RRT
  • National Tech Certification – Required for RRT
  • State License (Primary Source Verification)
  • Other certifications may apply based on unit/specialty

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and state-specific searches
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tdap vaccine
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • TB questionnaire (annual)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (titer or vaccination)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (titer or vaccination)
  • 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required by 10/31 for flu season)
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Completed employment application/resume
• Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
• Facility-specific documents including photo for badge, personal appearance policy, code of conduct, HIPAA confidentiality agreement, and computer/IT use agreement

Additional Notes

• Floating may be required within the scope of practice
• No call responsibilities
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• Suicide prevention training and demographic attestations required for multi-state licensed nurses working in Washington (if applicable)
