Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks)
Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30)
Call: 2-3 call shifts per week with 1-2 call weekends in a 6-week period
Job Description
Seeking an experienced Cath Lab Tech with expertise in:
- Left Heart Catheterization (LHC), LHC PCI
- Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
- Peripheral procedures
- IMPELLA device
- Balloon Pump
- Rotablader (Rota)
Department Details:
- 4 cath labs operating Monday through Friday, 7am-5:30pm
- Procedures include coronary angiograms/PCIs, CTOs, peripherals, EPS with possible ablations, pacemakers, BIVs, TAVRs, Mitraclips, Watchman/Amulet, mitral valves
- Daily caseload: 25-30 cases
- Scrubs provided
Required Qualifications
- Experience in LHC, LHC PCI, RHC, peripherals, IMPELLA, balloon pump, and rota
- General skills: Scrub, Monitor, EKG
- Cardiac Cath Lab procedure experience: Balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, rotablader
- EKG skills: Obtaining vitals, outpatient 12-lead EKG, rhythm interpretation
- Electrophysiology procedure experience: Cardioversion
- Certifications/Licenses:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Must have either RCIS or ARRT certification
- If ARRT certified, must have a valid Virginia state license (VA temporary license process accepted)
Preferred Qualifications
- Circulate, IV start, phlebotomy
- Watchman procedures, septal closure, ablations
- Pacemaker/defibrillator device placement and insertion
- Experience with sinus node rhythms
- EPIC electronic health record experience
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Cath Lab Tech with required experience in listed procedures (years of experience not explicitly stated, assume minimum competency in all required skills)

Immunization & Health Requirements
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) unless approved medical or religious exemption is provided
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Adult TDAP vaccine required if applicable
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or positive titer or signed declination
- Other immunizations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
- Negative 11-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Fit mask test within last 12 months required
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within a year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- Education verification
- Work history verification (7 years)
- Proof of 2 clinical references
- Performance evaluations if applicable
- Radiation badge and attestation of prior radiation exposure required for Cath Lab Techs
Additional Onboarding Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements, code of ethics, dress code, parking forms, and orientation attestations
- Completion of online and/or onsite EPIC training as required
- Candidate must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
- Must complete physical exam within a year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
