Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location
- Columbia, Missouri

- Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Night shift, Monday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM (4x10 hour shifts)
- No weekends or call required
- Holidays worked only if they fall on a scheduled shift
Specialty & Experience
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Experience required in Level 1 Trauma Center, Emergency Department, Inpatient, and Operating Room settings
- Experience with Siemens, McKesson, or GE systems preferred
- Age groups served: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
- First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)
- No local candidates within 50 miles accepted
Certifications & Licenses
- Must hold a current and valid Missouri state Radiology Technologist license (as required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (AHA or ARC Provider card)
- AART (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred but not mandatory
Physical & Work Environment Demands
- Position is very active: requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing 20+ lbs
- Exposure to patients with contagious illnesses
- Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year
- Rotating shifts, holiday work, and work during inclement weather may be required
Essential Job Functions
- Ability to work full contract term at assigned location
- Ability to work the majority of assigned shift hours
- Ability to work assigned holidays (at least 50% of holidays during contract)
- Ability to work assigned weekends if required (though this position does not require weekends)
- Ability to take call (though this position specifies no call)
Required Background & Compliance Checks
- 7-year background check required within 60 days of start, including alias search, counties lived/worked/school, national and federal criminal searches, sex offender search, social security trace, and exclusions screening (EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG)
- International background check required if candidate has traveled outside the USA in the last 7 years
- Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) or Missouri Caregiver search required within 60 days of start (one must be on file before starting)
- Drug screening: Negative 7-panel drug test required within 60 days of start
- Photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) required
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation required
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (agency form acceptable)
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (3M models accepted); not required for Medical Technologist, Pharmacy Tech, or Sterile Processing Tech
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years or approved medical/religious exemption required
- Negative TB test (QGold, TSpot, or 2-step PPD) within 1 year of start, updated annually; chest x-ray required if positive TB history
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 MMR vaccines required; medical exemptions allowed with facility approval
- Hepatitis B series or positive/reactive titer required; declinations no longer accepted for new candidates after 7/1/2023; boosters required if low titer
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; medical exemptions allowed with facility approval
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
Documentation & Verification
- Resume must include at least 7 years of employment history with no gaps over 30 days
- Two professional references within the last 2 years required
- State license primary source verification required within 60 days of start
- NURSYS verification required within 60 days of start
- Photo for badge required for new candidates only
- Completion of facility-specific forms including confidentiality agreement, new hire packet, TB survey, and employment eligibility certification within 60 days of start
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technician experience
- Radiology Technician experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Experience in an Inpatient setting
- X-Ray Technician experience
