Job Opportunity: PCU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Snellville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Patient Population

• Adults to Geriatrics
• Unit accepts most diagnoses including GI Bleed, DKA, Stroke, TIA, Hypertension, NSTEMI, COPD, CHF, etc.

Unit Details

• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 4 patients
• Unit size: 24 beds
• Unit systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Floating: Yes, within facility or sister campus as needed and within scope of practice
• Call: None required
• Weekend schedule: Every other weekend
• Holiday work: Required to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
• Return to Orientation (RTO): Maximum 7 days

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time; delays in compliance may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling
• Floating may include sister campus assignments within scope of practice
• No call responsibilities
• Must review and sign facility Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start

This position is ideal for experienced PCU RNs seeking a travel contract with night shifts in a progressive care setting caring for adult to geriatric patients with diverse medical diagnoses.
