Job Opportunity: Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient (Travel/Contract)
Location
- Seaside, Oregon
Employment Type
- Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Shift: Day shift, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM (5 days a week, 8 hours per day)
- Consecutive weekends required
- No on-call or block schedules
- No floating between units

Job Requirements and Responsibilities
- IV admixing experience with non-hazardous medications required
- Must work consecutive weekends on 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacy Technician license in Oregon
- Minimum of 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience
- Pharmacy Technician experience within the last year
- IV admixing experience of non-hazardous medications
Certifications (as applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (if required by clinical track)
- Other certifications as required by facility or clinical track (verify with credentialing)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- E-Verify attestation required
- Education verification required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- State-specific searches as applicable (Oregon and Washington)
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit mask test (respirator clearance) required annually for travel candidates
- Immunizations and screenings:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer or declination)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months; instant tests acceptable with attestation
Competency and Training Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Facility-specific training modules (WorkRamp) required annually, including:
- Regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules for Pharmacy roles
- Epic training modules (if applicable)
- Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
Additional Notes
- Float policy acknowledgment required (may be required to float to other nearby facilities)
- Badge photo required (passport style with neutral background)
- No 48-hour shifts approved
- No parking fees at facility
