Postpartum / Couplet Care Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Issaquah, Washington
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
36 hours per week
Contract length: 26 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Washington
Post Partum (2 years of experience)
Post Partum experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Clinical Responsibilities

Care for postpartum vaginal and cesarean delivery patients
Support couplet care, low-risk antepartum, transition nursery, and postpartum readmissions
Provide care for GYN surgeries and post-op patients
Perform normal newborn care, including thermoregulation and glucose management
Administer blood and blood products
Manage drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vacs, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate

Scheduling and Work Expectations

Floating may be required to NICU or L&D
Weekends are required to meet staffing needs
