Postpartum / Couplet Care Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Issaquah, Washington
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 26 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Post Partum (2 years of experience)
- Post Partum experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Clinical Responsibilities
- Care for postpartum vaginal and cesarean delivery patients
- Support couplet care, low-risk antepartum, transition nursery, and postpartum readmissions
- Provide care for GYN surgeries and post-op patients
- Perform normal newborn care, including thermoregulation and glucose management
- Administer blood and blood products
- Manage drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vacs, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
Scheduling and Work Expectations
- Floating may be required to NICU or L&D
- Weekends are required to meet staffing needs
