Job Overview

Travel/contract RN position in Issaquah, Washington
13-week contract
Day shift, 4x12 hours
48 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Washington
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart&Stroke
FHM
NRP
AWHONN Intermediate
Experience with Epic

Preferred

ACLS

Unit Details

Labor and delivery unit with labor and triage rooms
Handles labor, preterm labor, low-risk antepartum, low-risk labor and delivery, OB-GYN, pre-op, post-op, circulating, and scrub duties
Supports blood and blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vacs, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
Attends all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
Staffing ratio is 1:1–3

Scheduling and Float

May request up to 2 major holidays off
Must work 1 of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day, or New Year’s Eve/Day
May float to postpartum and possibly another labor and delivery unit within the same system

Additional Notes

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Candidates from other non-Swedish facilities in the same system may be eligible if separated for at least 3 months
The unit is described as having strong staff camaraderie
