Respiratory Therapist Travel Contract

Overview

Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
Weekly hours: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Every other weekend
Time off: All requested time off must be submitted with the application and approved before an offer

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey
Registered Respiratory Therapist (1.5 years of experience)
Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NBRC

Preferred Qualifications

PICU/NICU experience
ACLS
PALS
NRP

Patient Population

Adult and pediatric patients

Float Expectations

May float between PICU, Emergency Department, and Adult Critical Care
May also float to additional units based on skill set and hospital needs

Required Skills / Procedures

Blood gas collection
Ventilator initiation and management
BiPAP initiation and management
High-flow therapy initiation and management
Code response
In-house patient transport
Medication administration
Chest physiotherapy
