Labor and Delivery RN Travel Contract

Overview

• Location: Fishersville, Virginia
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 26 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Hours: 48 hours per week
• On-call: Required, 48 hours in a 6-week block

Unit Summary

• Combined obstetric unit serving labor and delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and Level II nursery
• Patient population includes obstetric, neonatal, gynecologic/medical overflow, antepartum, triage, mother-baby couplet care, and border babies
• May assist outside the specialty as a general nursing helper when floated

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

• Current application/resume
• Skills checklist for the applicable specialty
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start, including marijuana; THC is zero-tolerance
• TB screening or chest X-ray documentation
• Tdap within 10 years or declination
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity/vaccination documentation
• Influenza vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• Background check and required screening documents
• Fit mask testing
