Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Richmond, Virginia
- Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00–17:30
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Details
- Adult Cardiac Sonographer
- Work may include inpatient and outpatient studies, bedside echo, Stress Echo, TEE, and OR cases
- Assignment locations include a main campus and an outlying cardiology clinic
- Biweekly orientation
- Productivity expectation: 8–9 studies in a 10-hour day
Required Qualifications
- Cardiac Sonographer with 3 years of experience
- Recent Cardiac Sonographer experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- CCI or RDCS-Adult
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience in an Academic Medical Center setting
- Competency in complex echo pathology including HOCM, regional wall motion abnormalities, aortic stenosis, valvular defects, and shunt assessment
- Saline contrast administration and evaluation of shunts
- Sonographer-driven contrast administration protocols using Lumify and Definity agents
- Experience with Epic
- Permanent state license required; temporary RN licenses are not accepted
