Operating Room RN

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Novato, California
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
• On-call nights and weekends may be required, though this is described as very rare

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Orthopedic Surgery experience

Clinical Focus

• Orthopedic circulator role
• Total hip and total knee experience required
• Spine experience preferred

• EPLS/GSA/SAM search
• HHS/OIG search
• Sex offender search
• FACIS Level 3 screening
• California Medi-Cal search result
• TB screening questionnaire
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• Physical exam

• Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• Tdap documentation
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity or documentation
• Color vision screening
• Respiratory safety clearance

Notes

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred
