PACU Registered Nurse

Job Overview

• Travel/contract role in Wichita Falls, Texas
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 4x10 hours, 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM
• Rotating day off
• No call
• Start date within the next 3–5 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

• Background check
• EPLS/GSA/SAM screening
• HHS/OIG screening
• Government-issued photo ID
• E-Verify or attestation
• Badge photo
• Resume or application copy
• 2 references within the last 3 years
• Skills checklist
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
• Competency exam
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
• Physical exam
• Tdap within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation
• Drug screen
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• COVID vaccination documentation
• Parking policy acknowledgment
• Flu exemption form if requesting a medical exemption
• Flu exemption form if requesting a religious exemption

Facility-Specific Notes

• Annual background check renewal is required for Aya candidates
• Some required items must be completed within 72 hours of signing the contract
• Some certifications and health documents are required only if applicable to the role or candidate status
