Location: Garrison, North Dakota

Shift: Days (7a-7p)
Hours per Day: 12
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
Call/Standby Requirement: Flexible time
Floating Requirements: May float to ED holds and may work charge nurse shifts

• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:

  • Acute: 1 to 4
  • Swing Bed: 1 to 6
  • ED: 1 to 4
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Any
• Telemetry: Yes, RNs read strips in ED
• Respiratory Equipment: NEBS, O2 nasal and mask; ventilator used only in ED and for transport; CPAP may be used if brought in by swing bed patients
• Charge Nurse: Present on unit
• Nurse Aids: Not specified

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of MedSurg nursing experience
• Ability to titrate drips (normal titratable and set rate drips)

Orientation

• Unit-specific orientation provided
• Orientation scheduled on days, every other week
• First to float orientation included

Additional Information

• Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule
• Cannot have worked permanently or PRN at this facility within the last 12 months
