Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Utica, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10 hour shifts (variable shifts)
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting with a 75-mile radius rule; local candidates accepted.
- Patient age groups include Adult and Geriatric.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1.
- Common drips administered: verapamil, nitroglycerin, cardizem, neosynephrine, dopamine, levophed.
- Common diagnoses treated: Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), Heart Failure.
- Technology used: EPIC electronic health record system, XPER imaging system.
- Floating assignments may include Electrophysiology Lab and Pod D recovery.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1+ year experience in Cardiac Cath Lab nursing.
- Experience with STEMI/CODE MI, PTCA, Diagnostic Cath, Structural Heart procedures.
- Skilled in femoral/radial access, balloon pump, Impella device, atherectomy, IVUS, and closure devices.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year (minimum 1 year).
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.

- Variable shifts with 10-hour day shifts.
