Travel RN Opportunity - Observation Unit, Tennessee

Location

• City: Hermitage, TN
• Unit: Observation Unit (25 beds)
• Setting: Hospital, fast-paced, energetic, and friendly environment
• Newly built unit with brand new equipment and technology

Unit Details

• Patient Ratios:

  • Days: 4:1
  • Nights: 5:1
• Staffing:

  • 1 CNC, 6-7 RNs, 2 techs, 1 unit secretary
• Equipment:

  • Alaris Pumps, tele-tracking, Imobile Communication, B450 Monitors, Pyxis
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full-time: 36 hours/week + every 3rd weekend
  • Part-time: 24 hours/week + every 3rd weekend
  • PRN: 3 shifts/month with one weekend shift
  • Travelers/Contract: 36 hours/week + every other weekend
• Floating Policy: Rotating system to meet hospital needs

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Registered Nurse License
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIH Certification

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years
• Requested Skill Set: Neuro and Cardiac experience
• Advanced skills and procedures on unit include:

  • Glucose monitoring
  • Foley catheter insertion
  • Dressing changes
  • EKGs
  • Peritoneal dialysis

Additional Information

• Patient care includes triaging acute care patients and identifying life-threatening rhythms
• Dress Code:

  • RNs wear black scrubs
  • Closed-toed shoes required (no crocs)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
