Position Overview

Seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with at least 2 years of experience. The role involves working primarily in surgical services with floating responsibilities to vascular and thoracic cases.

Work Schedule

• Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (4 days of 10-hour shifts per week)
• Rotating days off per week
• On-call shifts: 12 to 13 shifts within a 4-week period, including weekends and holidays

Required Qualifications

• Valid CVOR Technologist license in Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NBSTSA certification
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system

• Float to vascular and thoracic surgical cases
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Unit beds: 2
• Equipment experience required:

  • Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
  • Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
  • Atricure machine
  • Impella 5.5 device

Additional Information

• Dress code: Ciel Blue scrubs; adherence to facility dress code policy required
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
